A large number of normal school graduates and other school graduates who have obtained the teacher qualifications of secondary school join the teacher ranks every year. In the perspective of Educational Sociology, teacher's career begins from the teacher's formal role-playing. Vocational diatheses which were formed in the early period were important foundation of their career development.The new teachers who were mentioned in this article are the teachers who have begun careers for only 1~3 years. Because of absence of practical opportunities, the new teachers have not finished the tasks of socialization; therefore, they must continue socialization when they begin their careers.From the survey to the new teachers of county S, the new teachers' vocational diatheses are still distant from the vocational expectation. It has disadvantage not only in the internalization of the professional value and mastering the vocational means, but also in identifying with the occupational norms and forming the vocational character. The factors which impact the continuing socialization of new teachers include two aspects: the modes of continuing socialization and the cultural environment of schools where they work.In light of the problems in the process of continuing socialization of new teachers, this article makes a number of suggestions on optimizing effect of continuing socialization of new teachers, etc.
