Education evaluation refers to the value judgment of the development and variations of the educated and related factors causing these variations. In recent years, with the rapid development of social politics and economy, there appears fine intendancy of the development of vocational technology education in our country. However, due to the short development history of the vocational technology education, most educationists haven't had enough understanding of the education evaluation of the vocational technology, and the current education evaluation system needs reformation and innovation to enable it to meet the requirements of the development of the vocational education in modern society. Therefore, study on the status and problems of education evaluation in vocational schools plays a very important and practical role.The study on the problems relating to the education evaluation in vocational schools has been illustrated extensively by many scholars at home and abroad in recent years, the suggested strategies for which are comparatively all-round, which are playing an instructive part in the activity of our vocational technology education evaluation. But in the concrete process of this activity, there is always the rather thick sign of education evaluation for the universities instead of the characteristics of vocational education evaluation. There are still many concrete problems for us to discuss and study.The paper , taking Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology as a sample, through the methods of discussions, questionnaires and investigation into the current status of education evaluation in vocational schools, finds the following problems: (1) evaluation in schools: though there exists, a system of rules and regulations for the education evaluation, there is still the serious phenomenon of "not following the law" in the process of execution; the methods for education evaluation seems various, but undertaking them seems difficult and therefore it can't "promote the management and advance the reformation" effectively; evaluation activity doesn't attract all the teachers' and students' attention, which seems that it's only the business for management offices; the system of students' assessing teaching is not so perfect, thus can't assess teachers' of various subjects effectively; superintends lack the enthusiasm for the evaluation; the advice and suggestion put forward by the students through different ways can't get effective feedback; the evaluation result by students covers too much proportion in the teachers' final yearly assessment, which has passive effect on the teaching. (2) evaluation out of schools: the government organizations in charge of vocational schools don't know much about the schools thoroughly, which leads the incomplete and not objective evaluation; the seldom communication between patriarchs and schools leads one-sided evaluation; employers can't feedback the graduates' real information to schools and make the evaluation rather superficial.The countermeasures suggested by the writer are: 1,to set up advanced scientific evaluation ideas; 2,to reform and improve the teaching supervision system; 3,that the authorities of all levels are supposed to put emphasis on evaluation; 4,to reform and improve the ways and methods of evaluation to avoid the superficial process and formalism; 5,to widen the ways of collecting evaluation information from various clients.
