"In the'CCCPC and the State Council's decision on Deepening the Educational Reform and Promoting the Education Designed to Raise the Overall Quality of Students",it points out clearly that"to carry out the education designed to raise the quality of students(EDRQS) is just to carry through the Party's educational policy on al aspects, so that can raise the people's quality of a nation as an essential aim; create a proper condition for developing the students different sides; show respect to students'character, development physically and mentally,and to the educational law in order to foster the students'developing vividly and vigorously, actively and positively. Teaching students is the effective measure to carry out the EDRQS. We should cater to all the students and prepare a situation for the students'development on all aspects. In this way we must study the effective teaching measures so that we can undertake a teacher's sacred mission donated by this age. In order to put EDRQS into effect overall,we start to probe the teaching experiment on different levels actively in our school.This paper is focusing on the teaching experiment of English on different levels(TEEDL) in a common high school, in accordance with some key problems, the author puts forward some suggestions. The TEEDL in Senior English class has been practised several years, and we have gained some experience, especially in listening, speaking,reading,writing and translating. Gradually we have established some TEEDL basic modes. The experiment measures are as follows:"the students are graded; the students'knowledge is graded;the students preview is graded;the teaching material is graded in class; the unit test is graded and the outside class guidance is graded"too.The experiment comes out that TEEDL can improve the students'surroundings of English learning, enhance their learning interests and raise their English scores obviously. It shows that this teaching measure is a key point to combine the teaching material with the teaching aims effectively. It is also the Chinese pedagogical notion---"to teach by the students'aptitude"---a principle's specific use and development. Beside the author puts forward some problems that are not coordinate between the teachers'teaching and the students learning during this experiment; the poor students have heavy mental pressures; and some of the students don't study hard and actively etc. Then the author gives some relative solutions for your reference.
