Since the end of 1970s, China has been enforcing the family planning policy: one couple has one child. From the beginning of the 21st century, these children born just after the family planning policy was enforced last century start working. The historical background and the living and educational environment for the single-child population provide them naturally with distinct personalities: enthusiastic, self-confident, strong sense of superiority, and higher comprehensive quality.The studies finished on the single-child issues have discussed the single-child education, the single-child characters and the marriage and family issues concerning the single-child. The studies on the teacher adaptation also discusses the teacher's psychology, the professional knowledge and the vision which the teacher should have, how to adapt to the professional role as soon as possible, etc. But there is no study yet on the role adaptation of the special group -- the single-child teachers. The study on their role adaptation is very important to the school development and improving the current educational status.The school administrator should exploit the strengths of the single-child teachers and avoid their weaknesses, motivate them to work...
