With the new reformation of school curriculum, "participatory training" has been adopted into the training system of teachers of primary and middle schools in our country. Besides, it has been advocated as the mode of teachers' training by Ministry of Education. With regard to the aim of participatory training, in the designed situations teachers from primary and middle schools are lead to reflect on self-experience and concepts through activity, representation and experience, to learn others' advantages, produce new ideas and get new understanding through communicating and sharing. In this way, teachers can realize self-enhancement and take action to improve the status quo. With regard to the function of the training, teachers involved can be triggered to be emotional, to think deeply, come out with questions and finally reach an agreement. I am working in Changzhou Scientific Research Center of Teachers' Training. It is a training agency for Changzhou teachers of primary and middle schools, as well as a management department of teachers' training (including school-orientated training). My daily work requires me to directly participate in the arrangement of training curriculum and teaching affairs, and conduct research on and give instructions to the training of grass-roots schools. Thus, what I am facing now is how to implement participatory training. Required by my job, I need to do research on the new training mode advocated by Ministry of Education, to find out problems in the process of implementation and put forward the improved strategies based on the scientific research. Therefore, I choose this research topic. By applying various research methods and citing substantial evidence, I manage to reveal the existing problems and present detailed analysis on the improvement of the implementation of "participatory training" in Changzhou. The first chapter of the thesis sets forth the background of the research topic from two levels: requirements of training policy and practical demands of the training. By studying and defining main concepts, it provides theoretical basis and the scope of the study. Finally, it states overall arrangement of the research topic. The second chapter describes the status quo of the implementation of participatory training and reveals the existing problems by adopting the two important aspects of the training of teachers from primary and middle schools in Changzhou: intense training and school-orientated training. As a result, teachers in Changzhou are in a need of training , but the problem is that we lack the advanced theory and proper patterns as well as the lack of necessary materials and qualified teachers. School-orientated training is short of guidance, the training pursues self-development accompanied with unbalance and inconformity. The third chapter analyzes the research results of the status quo of implementation .The main problems include the following: the lack of joined forces and the training of the trainers as well as the shortage of united resources in Changzhou. Some other causes also exist. The fourth chapter brings up the basic requirements of improved strategies based on the results of research and gives explicit strategies "comprehensively arranged, carried out in steps". In detail, intense training and school-orientated training should...
