In the second half of 1990's, overall reforms on management system are carried out in universities, and so are service reforms. Thus the goal to separate rear service group from university administration is achieved, and a rear service system is established. As a rear service accommodator, before the reform, there is little concern over the matter of development plans and not to say operation and envelopment strategy of the group. In order to make university rear service group adapt to the market economy environment and to excavate its potential, by using relating business strategy management theories, the writer of the thesis cites Yantai university rear service group operation strategy as an example to probe into a proper operation strategy in rear service group.The article altogether divides five parts: The fist chapter introduced the history of development and current operation strategy in university rear service groups .In the second chapter by using business strategy management theory, the internal and external environment of rear service group and the srength and weakness of the rear service group. The third part concretes the management strategy of Yantai University rear service group's :scale strategy, the multiplex strategy, the innovation strategy, the competition strategy. The fourth part develops the strategic concrete implementation to the Yantai University rear service group to carry on the discussion.Through the analysis to the Yantai University rear service group victory development restriction factor, the transformation management idea, this article take the superiority resources as aspects and so on core design enterprise in competition strategy has the very big help. The tissue also have certain model significance for creating a full competition the environment, cultivating own brand.
