In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the new high school history curriculum in autumn 2006, the province of Fujian will fully implement the new high school courses. The curriculum development and the utilization of community resources are imperative. Therefore, this is an article about Nan'an rural high school history courses which discusses the community curriculum resources through literature research ,field trips, comparision and analysis etc..Firstly, the article states that the community and school curriculum resources refer to the community surrounding environment of students combined with the educational value of various resources. And also it summarizes the Nan'an rural community overview and divides the Nan'an community. Then, the article maintains that the community curriculum resources are consisted of curriculum material resources, human resources, cultural knowledge resources, etc.. Through three procedures i.e. resource investigation, analysis and resource planning, the community curriculum resources are developed with the application of history classroom teaching and related disciplines integrated with the historical practice classes and school-based curriculum. In the process of development and application, shared principles, economic priciples and the priciple of local conditions are emphasized. Lastly, the article mentions some suggestions on the task of the school by looking into some previously successful cases of community curriculum development and utilization.
