With the great development of science and technology and the globalization of economic, material culture standard of living of human society has been promoted whole. But as the competition of society is more and more fury, people's psychological pressure increase, since"health"becomes the problem to which all people pay attention. In'The Resolution about Further Education Reform and Boosting Quantity Education Roundly', the centre of Chinese communist and government point out that the schools shall put health in the first position, and reinforce physical education practically. In order to carry out the resolution, the school physical education has taken a great reform in 21st century. On September in 2001, the a general outline of physical education for junior high school was substituted by the standard of physical education and health curriculum for junior high school (It is called standard as following for short ) , and the standard was tried out in some test- area of the country. Today the standard has been carried out for four years. We should pay attention to the status of the standard being carried into execution in the junior schools of Wu Han, to realize the actual status of the standard, concerned compendium, rule of law, policy and guide line being put into effect in every junior school of each area in Wu Han, to know the problems and difficulties and corresponding countermeasure existed during the process of carrying out standard, in order to offer theory reference for education department of Wu Han to constitute PE and health curriculum according to the trait of Wu Han. The paper researches on 350 PE teachers and 1200 students who were took out randomly in junior school of Wu Han which carry out standard, by the method of looking up literature, investigation, face to face interview, statistic and logical analysis. The research shows as following:1.At present, the situation of the implement of PE and Health curriculum is neither too good nor too bad. The standard is carried out basically in teach of PE. Some modern education thought in new standard of curriculum have been gradually accepted by PE teachers, But the leading thought of PE teach is not clear, some teachers have kinds of misunderstanding to new standard of curriculum. They usually use the method which deals with old curriculum to deal with the problem on new curriculum.2.The investment in physical education in junior middle school of Wu Han can not satisfies the need of teach.. The insufficiency of investment in PE and lack of PE ground and equipment influence the implement of new PE curriculum in a certain extent. The extent of support and recognition from leaders is not adequate, which is a main factor that influences the implement of standard in junior middle school of Wu Han.3.The structure of teachers is basically reasonable in junior middle school in Wu Han. Longevity of teacher also accords with the demand of teach of junior middle school, but the teachers'research standard is low. A few teachers publish article on kinds of journal. Their sense of study is weak, so it will affect the PE curriculum reform to develop further.4.Most of teachers approve of the implement of new PE curriculum standard, the curriculum idea of teacher is also changed greatly. There are a seldom teachers who don not care about the new PE curriculum standard. 5.The training about new PE curriculum is not very satisfactory in junior middle school in Wu Han.6.Although new PE health curriculum has many differences in teach content, teach methods, the form of teach organization and evaluation of curriculum compared with the past, but the status of complement is not idea, in addition, the promotion is behindhand, which formulate the inadequate realization to new PE curriculum, so as to most of students don not care about the curriculum reform.7.PE teachers in junior middle school in Wu Han have new breakthrough on study evaluation system and standard of PE and health curriculum. Teachers make the content and standard of evaluation visibility and have multi factors and levels on the base of integrative evaluation when they evaluate students'performance. Most of teachers is affirmative to study evaluation, but it is difficult to carry out. It is related to the real difficulty in teach in one hand, in other hand it is related to the realization on the evaluation.8.The time after class for activity can reach an hour in junior middle school in Wu Han. The content of after class activity is abundant, and the students'passion to join is also high.
