In order to boost the development of industry and modernization in China and modify our modern educational system, it is necessary and urgent to develop middle professional technical education and train more and more high-quality people to fit for a desired role in society. It is important for actualisation of diathesis education to implant emotional quotient (EQ) into middle professional technical education. According to the principles of scientific evolution, diathesis education should focus not only on training people to have high intelligent quotient (IQ) but also on training people to possess high EQ.This thesis involves demonstration of EQ educational theory by exemplification or practical application in Gansu Township Enterprise School. We have explored and analysed EQ status and psychological health of students in this school by means of questionnaire, measurement, visitation and interview. We found that most students have being suffered from EQ weakness and psychological barrier, which have seriously influenced their study, employment, as well as their attitude for their future life. In this respect, we recognized that it becomes more and more necessary and urgent to reform the existent education system on middle profession and think much of EQ education for middle professional students. We presented a new route to establish a good environment for EQ education on the basis of humanity by introducing and combining EQ concept into ideological politics course gradually and utilizing the great role of teachers. In particular, based upon our rich experiences in teaching we developed a series of suitable and detailed methods to aim at integration EQ into ideological politics course. For example, we tried to improve self-stimulated ability of students by extending curriculum contents and enhancing model education; we help students to achieve greater awareness of their needs in order to fulfil their potential as a person through the combination of teaching materials with their practical situations; we help low-level students take initiative and improve their ability of bearing frustration and pressure and overcoming difficulties by employing emotional and democratic teaching style; we also help some students with variety of problems with love from our heart to develop their team spirit and help them acquire good interpersonal skills and become confident and be comfortable working with people at all levels; additionally, we make use of the key roles of teachers and take their potential advantage to pave the way for EQ development for students using several novel strategies, such as "A dormitory log".
