Besides the learning of the students' and the guiding of teachers' in the classes, assignment is a further-studying way for the senior students. Assignment on history is not only necessary, but also it is a must. Only by giving the students scientific and appropriate assignment, can the teachers make the students understand and consolidate what they have learnt in the classes. In this way, the teachers can illustrate the magic power of history and help the students to develop the interest in history, making them like history even better.The passage is based on the investigation of the assignment on history in some of the senior schools in Jinchang. Realizing the importance of assignment on history, the author put forward the designing principle of the assignment on history. At the same time, after analyzing the facts in the teaching practice, the author divides the assignment on history into two groups: the written work and other kinds of work. In the passage the author shows some basic designing forms of the assignment on history for senior students. As the facts prove, if the teachers give the students appropriate assignment, they surely can strengthen the students' interest in history. The students would participate, study and practise on their own. In this way, we can develop the students' abilities such as collecting and dealing with the information, obtaining the new knowledge, analyzing and solving the problems, co-operating and communicating. In some way we can improve the senior history teaching quality.
