The history teacher in senior middle school is engaged in teaching research, which is essential to promote their professional quality. During the 15 years from 1991 to 2005, the history teacher of senior middle school in Zhangye has obtained certain achievement in the education research. This thesis analyses the history teacher's education and scientific research work in Zhangye senior middle school diachronically and synchronically based on the history curriculum reforms in senior middle school and on the background of history education development in Zhangye senior middle school. Diachronically, the thesis gives statistical analysis on the senior middle school history teacher's education research paper, mainly concerning the subject content and the research method during the 15 years. It makes concrete description about the change of the education research object and method, reflecting the basic situation of Zhangye senior middle school history teacher's education research. Synchronically, by means of questionnaire and interview, the thesis discusses the basic understanding of history education research by history teacher of senior middle school in Zhangye and their problems on the education research, putting forward the strategies to promote the vigorous involvement of history teacher into education research activity and to raise their education research level from the renewal of education research idea, the perfecting of system construction and the implement of school-based teaching research.
