Practice And Reflection On The Training Mode Of Mutual Job Selection System In Higher Vocational Education

In response to the great need of practical hi-tech personnel for metallurgical and mining industries in Yunnan local economy and the status quo of the lack of students majored in Mining and Metallurgy, Kunming Metallurgy College tried out a "mutual selection employment and training" mode in 2000, that is, the school and enterprises sign a contract for the training and employment of the students on their entering the school. In the process of exploring, practicing and improving, the mode has made such achievements as partially meeting the needs of qualified personnel of the contracted enterprises; helpful to the students in our school from Yunnan poor areas and from families being off sentry duty finish the school work and find a job after graduation; and embodying a characteristic school-running of cooperation between college and enterprises. Meanwhile, as the contracted students needn't pay any tuition to the college and should work in the contracted company after graduation, the development of relevant specialties and the number of contracted students, to some extent, are limited, which brings the training mode some problems in developing.From the experience of the job in the Enrollment and Placement Office in Kunming Metallurgy College, and the task of Exploration and Practice of "Mutual Selection Employment and Training Mode" in High Vocational Education, much analysis and researches have been done in the relation between supply and demand among colleges, enterprises and students. The dissertation titled as Practice and Reflections on the "Mutual Selection Employment and Training Mode" in Higher Vocational Education aims at drawing a conclusion on the study and practice of training mode for higher vocational students and providing theoretical basis for a further practice of the training mode, closely combining the task research and job practice together.The dissertation is characterized by a close combination of the innovation and reforms in the training mode for higher vocational education, the author's job experience, the scientific research task the author involves and the needs of higher vocational graduates from the local economy. Real and reliable experimental data and research materials are given in detail. The mutual selection employment and training mode, with its distinct characteristic of cooperation between college and enterprise, is a supplement and perfection to the traditional training mode.
