With the development of science and technology, the curricula of the elementary education of the whole world are facing a revolution , which aims at fostering physically and mentally healthy human beings. Under such international circumstances, China conducted the reform of the curricular of the elementary education. Curricula evaluation, as defined in the New Curricular Criteria, is to establish a system promoting students' overall development. The students' academical skill should be undoubtedly paid much attention, meanwhile, the goals of evaluation are to discover and develop students' potentials in all areas, to help them with their ego identity status and build up self-confidence, to exert all the functions of education to promote students' development.During the reform of new basic education curriculum in China, people have gradually realized the improtance of scientific inquiry in cultivationg students' scientific diatheis. It is necessary to explore the scientific inquiry in physics instruction in middle school with the purpose of improving teaching benefits and teaching efficiency. In my paper, what is the ability of scientific inquiry , the inscape of analysing scientific inquiry and the basic requirements for the cultivation of the ability are put forward , then on the basis of the analysis in theory , investigation and experts' assurance, the paper introduces the teaching aims which are supposed to be used in Wujiang key middle schools to cultivate students' ability of scientific inquiry in physics. The abilities are as follows: 1. Learn to ask; 2. Learn to solve the problems by guessing;3 Learn to verify the guess by experiments; 4. Learn how to get enough information; 5. Learn to analyse the problems by means of mathematic tools. And the paper also presents the exploratoin on the teaching rules in physics according to the unique learning practice of students in Wujiang.The paper is composed of five chapters. In the foreword, it introduces the background , present status and the details of the problems in the paper. The second chapter presents the theory basis which rests on pedagogy, psycology, physics teaching theory and efficient teaching theory. The second chapter expatiates on effective inquiry teaching , the connation of the ability of scientific inquiry and the sub-ability. The second chapter details the trial of the teaching aims which are supposed to be used in Wujiang key middle schools to cultivate students' ability of scientific inquiry in physics. The last chapter resents the exploratoin on the teaching rules in physics according to the unique learning practice of students in Wujiang.
