In modern society, people of talent are required to own an ability of oral communication, which is surely the duty of the teaching of Chinese. The new curriculum standard also puts forward definite requirements about senior middle school students' ability of oral communication. However, we still don't lay enough emphases on the teaching of oral communication. Worse still, quite a few teachers even think that the students' ability of oral communication is acquired naturally in everyday life. Therefore, there is no need to teach it in Chinese classroom. Marry Chinese teachers have no idea how to carry out the teaching of oral communication. The discrepancy of cognition leads to confusion in practice. There are no methods for reference, let alone scientific and systemic training. The students' ability of oral communication commonly needs improving, In this thesis, the writer begins with the relationship between everyday acquisition and scientific teaching, attempts to improve the way oral communication is taught in senior middle schools and then tries to improve the students' ability of oral communication, as well as their quality, which is a good preparation for the students' future social life and lifetime development.There are three parts in this thesis. In the first part, the writer tries to prove the teaching of oral communication in senior middle school is based on the learning process of what is learned and what is acquired can the students' ability of oral communication be improved. In the second part, the writer provides an elucidation of oral features and contents of the teaching of oral communication. In the third part, the writer puts forward her own opinion on how to carry out the teaching of oral communication. The improving of the students' oral communication depends on not only what is acquired in daily life but also the development of the students' oral communication can be promoted by some learning activities based on language skills to enhance and standardize the students' language activities.
