From long teaching practice we know that the traditional instilling curricular teaching must undergo some reforms. Yet during the process of reform, many people still try to design curricular teaching activity from the point of view of teaching, and the teaching activity doesn't achieve expected effect because they still adhere to the traditional teachers-centered method. The failure to achieve the expected effect is due to the fact that teacher neglect the initiation of students, thus refraining students from taking initiatives. Based on the investigation of our school, I advocate that the curricular activity aimed at stimulating students' initiation is the ideal choice for the reform on curricular activity of our school. Such reform will be under way so that students can grasp knowledge more actively and they can have more opportunity to take part in the teaching process and to develop scientific attitude in the process of formation, connection and application of knowledge, while at the same time they can lay a solid foundation for their future education.Based on the studies such as confirming the study goal, stimulating study motive, self-study teaching materials, self-study investigation, group discussion, consolidation of knowledge with more practice, etc, this thesis discusses the necessity of adopting some theories of study such as constructivism to stimulate students' initiation in the chemistry lesson. By attaching importance to the self-study activity of students, the students' study method, thinking ability, practical skills, awareness of innovation and individual development, the thesis aims at providing some advice for the education reform of our school by placing some emphasis on operation procedure of self-study, teaching strategy and teaching evaluation.With the reform, many schools have put forward some educational activities useful for the self-study of students. Although there have produced some positive effects, objectively the traditional teacher-centered teaching has deep impact on our teaching activity and some teachers keep skeptical about the fact that students can take their initiatives in study, neglecting the value of initiative study for lifetime education.
