With the development of the society and economy,the outstanding characteristics of basketball games are the professional and commercial tendency. The games show differences from tradition by the requirement of the market and humanism. As one part of basketball games, the college and university basketball games have a certain influence on society, culture, natural environment, politics and economy.Purpose of study: Through defining the college and university basketball game, this paper explored the mode of the operation of Chinese college and university sports events, analyzed the successful experience and shortcoming home and abroad, and learned the advanced methods of operation in order to construct the mode of Chinese college and university sports events, improve its competitive level and make it develop actively.Methods of study: Literature material, questionnaire investigation, mathematics statistics and so on were used in this paper.Results of study:1. As a branch of sports events, the college and university basketball games' scales and forms are influenced by college and university culture, regulation and tradition. They have cultural background and potentialities which can provide basketball game products and relative service to meet with the needs of colleges and universities, commercial supporters and broad teachers and students, thus achieves the aim of double win at the same time. The operation of basketball games means that the operators rationally use and distribute the manpower, material resources, financial resources and information technology to achieve the aims of the games.2.
