Before the reform of the elementary education curriculum at the turn of this century, the values education has been subordinate to moral education, which lacks clear theoretical basis and concrete methods to carry out .With the further reform of the new elementary education curriculum,"emotion, attitude and values","knowledge and ability", and"process and method"have been considered to be the three dimensions in the Chinese-teaching curriculum target designs. So it is very urgent to study the Chinese-teaching values from the theoretical and practical levels. Although the saying"articles are always used to reflect people's morality"has been regarded as the basic principle of Chinese-teaching education by the Chinese-teaching education circles after the founding of the People's Republic of China , the theoretical establishment of middle-school Chinese-teaching values and practical ways still remain to be studied. Moreover, such phenomena also exist in the study of values, that is, more talking over reading teaching, less over composition-writing teaching; more studying on the theoretical level, less putting it into effect; not enough understanding the connotation of the composition-writing values and no uniform standard in practice.In recent years , the Chinese teaching education staff in our country have paid attention to the study of composition-writing values and published some related papers .Meanwhile, according to the information I have collected, no systematic and theoretical research works on the composition-writing values about middle- school students.The background of this paper is set in the reform of Chinese teaching curriculum in our country, and the situation of middle-school students'composition-writing values. This paper tries to find out the new styles of Chinese middle-school students composition-writing values, roughly studies the composition-writing values of middle-school students'and also offers a feasible and effective way for exploring the composition-writing values of middle–school students.This paper consists of six parts.Chapter 1: the analyses and exploration of the theories of Chinese middle-school students'composition-writing values and the significance of the study .It totally introduces the basic problems of the study on the composition-writing values of Chinese middle-school students, defines several basic concepts of the study on values and gives the answers to the reasons for this study title chosen. Chapter 2: the review of the composition-writing values in history.This chapter introduces five kinds of the composition-writing values of ancient China and four kinds of modern China from the ancient times to the modern times.Chapter 3: the present situation of Chinese middle-school students'composition- writing valuesIt contains three parts, i.e. the Chinese teaching curriculum standard and composition, the analyses of the questionnaire for Chinese middle-school students composition-writing values, Chinese middle-school students composition-writing values and its expressions.Chapter 4: the new styles of Chinese middle-school students'composition-writing values:This paper puts forward five kinds of composition-writing values, combining with the demands from the new curriculum standard. i.e. the true,the good and the beautiful, the development of personalities, paying close attention to the society, cultivating spirit, reflecting personalities.Chapter 5: the practice of the cultivation of the new styles of Chinese middle-school students'composition-writing values.The composition-writing values will reflect real meaning if it is closely related to the new curriculum standard. Guided by the new curriculum standard, this paper carries out a preliminary exploration between teachers and students. In order to get the results of casting a brick to attract jade, it lists cases to be the proofs during the process.Chapter 6: the self-questioning of the study on the cultivation of Chinese middle-school students'composition-writing values.It is related to the personal thoughts and understandings to carry out the self-questioning.It is of great significance to solve the problem of Chinese middle-school students'composition-writing values. It is not only important for the improving of composition-writing teaching but also important for Chinese teaching , even for the future development of the whole nation. The discussion and analysis of this paper can hardly avoid superficial, not overall understanding because of my insufficient research . But I hope I can try my best to make more teachers and men of insight give their attention to this issue. It is true that a person's ability is limited. But I believe unity is strength. If anyone tries his best in all aspects, some effects will be brought about.
