The unfavorable development environment and the deficiency of professional guidance for secondary vocational school students have led to their perplex, uneasiness and even loss at what to do when they are facing the harsh employment competition and much too rapid mutation related. To combat such a situation, career development education has been introduced as a cherished panacea throughout the world, which, in the last analysis, is to enable the students to obtain the necessary competence to establish their individual career pattern by means of indoctrinating them with career cognition, career investigation, career orientation, career preparation and vocational practice. Upon which, the theories of peculiarities and types, Roe's later stage theory, and especially Super's career development education theory exert their influence, and in return, have been made the primary theoretical foundation for us to design and develop our experiment. The experiment has been performed with the career development education theories as guiding principle, and Profession Morality and Employment Consultation (published in March, 2004) by Zhan Wansheng, a textbook for this purpose, designated by state authorities, and our self-edited Career Development as coursebooks to organize teaching and learning. The SPSS data analysis has proven that our self-edited"Career Development"is superior to Zhan's Profession Morality and Employment Consultation (published in March, 2004) so far as to help the students enhance their self-dignity and self-respect, form their self-concept, establish their own life goals and ideals, plan their career, and avail to necessary sources are concerned (p<0.05). As for labor value, however, neither produces remarkable effect (Spearman's Gradation Relativeness Index showing high relativeness).
