A new round of national compulsory educational reform emphasises on the change of learning way. The reform advocates the diversified learning way at the core of inquiry learning, strengthenes the students'inquiring consciousness and cultivates the students'ability of inquiry. Furthermore,"the conjecture and hyphosis"is the core element of inqury learning,which is a hard breakthrough,as well. Therefore the research on how to cultivate and promote the students'ability of the conjecture and hypothesis in Chemistry teaching in middle school provides a starting point for making inquiry activities smoothly and effectively and changing the students'way of study.The investigations and the studies on the students'ability of the conjecture and hypothesis present show that the students are weak in the ability of conjecture and hypothesis.In the Chemistry inquiry teaching,the domestic and foreign scholars have performed a considerable research and practice in the inquiry study and formed relatively stable teaching models.However,about the inquiry links of conjecture and hyphosis,there are more often specific programme designs,but less the elaborations about how to cultivate the students'ability of conjecture and hypothesis fundamentally and it is lack of systematic and targeted teaching tactics.According to the theories of inquiry learning,constructivism teaching and Chemisry ability cultivating , we propose the characteristics of conjecture and hypothesis as follows: criticism,guess and forecast,diversity,rationality,can be tested,creativeness. We carry out an experiment to construct the teaching programme of conjecture and hypothesis and put forward the corresponding teaching tactics on the basis of the experience summarying and theory utilizing:(1)Foster the students'emotion of the conjecture and hypothesis ,and let them be willing to conjecture.(2)Guide the students to conjecture and hypothesis well, according to the methods of the conjecture and hyphosis.(3)Assist students in constructing an integrated cognition structure so as to strengthen the their knowledge and capacity of the conjecture and hypothesis.(4)Reinforce the teaching of essence of Chemical reaction to develop the rational quality of the conjecture and hypothesis(5)Reinforce the coaching of diverged thought and converged thought to promote the diversity of the conjecture and hypothesis(6)Cultivate students'ability of the conjecture and hypothesis in the practice of Chemical inquiry learning especially in the practice of experimental inquiry.(7)Cultivate students'ability of the conjecture and hypothesis throught the cooperation study pattern.(8)Guide students to strengthen the regulation and control of their own primary cognition to...
