With the deepening of the curriculum reform in senior high school,teaching is required higher and higher.Teachers should not only be required to teach students,but also to train students to become innovative talents that can adapt to the era full of quantities of knowledge.Therefore,they make efforts to contribute themselves to the progress and prosperity of the mankind.Exploring teaching helps develop students' intelligence and fosters students' creativity and the spirit of innovation.Conjecture and hypothesis are the key parts in scientific exploration which go throughout the process of exploring teaching.They play a connecting role and are connected with each other,building a bridge between the problems and practice.Under the guidance of the relevant teaching theories,this paper analyzes the questionnaire on the students' ability of the conjecture and hypothesis who are in Senior One in the author's school.The survey shows those factors,such as the students' ability of reasoning and thinking,environmental and social factors,and teachers' factors,have great effects on the students' ability of conjecture and hypothesis.Therefore,the author adopted the corresponding teaching strategies based on the survey and designed related teaching cases for practical teaching.The author compared the two parallel classes and found that the average score of the class developing the students' ability of conjecture and hypotheses was much higher than the class which did not take the strategy.Furthermore,as for the students' interest in learning and learning enthusiasm,the former was also higher than the latter,thus,indicating that it is feasible to develop the students' ability of conjecture and hypotheses in chemistry in senior high school for exploring teaching.
