The paper describes a study which focuses on the kindergarteners'instruction in area activities within a kindergarten environment. The study concentrates closely on the central idea which includes the following three ones: what is area activities, in what way the kindergarteners had done, and how should the kindergarteners do? By adopting the method of referring to literatures and qualitative research, the study chose five kindergarteners in the same kindergarten as the research objects. By means of analyzing the collected data ,the researcher attempts to show the kindergarteners'status quo, styles and features from which some feasible advices are drew.Minds affect the deeds. The kindergarteners'cognition of area activities has direct impact on their instructing methods. On account of this, in the first part, before carrying on the study, the researcher analyzes the thesis on'What is the area activity, and how the kindergarteners understand it'. By collecting literature, collecting data, and observing the instructing way of the kindergarteners, the researcher indicates two main understandings of the kindergarteners towards area activities, and generalizes the connotation and characters of area activities in kindergarten. Combining with the actual condition of kindergarten, the researcher contends that domestic kindergarteners should not copy the activity education that initiated in foreign countries. This kind of activity-centered method adds a great deal of learning knowledge instead of playing. The researcher proposes to strengthen the concept of playing in the activity area, nails down the functions of activity area, and points out the existing problems in carrying out the area activity.In the second part, by analyzing the status quo of the kindergarteners'instructing behavior, the researcher figures out the ingredients of kindergarteners'instructing behavior, and the characters of these ingredients. By means of observing interviewing, the researcher takes sample affair from the five chosen kindergarteners.
