Crisis Management On University In China

Higher education in China that was always protected strongly by government has changed intensely, with market economy of socialism being build and innovation on university being carried out continuously. Especially in lately years, because of recruiting students increasingly large-scale and combination of university, development of university dropped in turbulence. Many universities were in trouble as a result of crisis and influence of crisis. However, research about defense of crisis and dealing with crisis effectively got behind. Few scholars undertook researching crisis on university, even a lot of rulers of university and scholars didn't certificate to exist crisis on university.In this thesis, author try to build crisis management system that can prevent crisis and treat with crisis virtually on university, by analyzing cause of transformation on university and origin of university crisis taking place and introducing crisis management theory belonging to corporation management originally to university management theory. Furthermore, primary intention of this paper not only offers some rational advices on defending crisis and solving crisis but also arouses crisis consciousness of university governors and scholars, thereby, there are more persons to research crisis on university.This thesis was divided into four parts except exordium. In first part, author introduced a series of concepts concerning university crisis, for instance, "crisis", "problem on university", "incident" and so on, and then confirm origin of university crisis and research category of crisis management on university. In second part, author analyzed briefly problem on university crisis management in china from systerm , idea, institution. In third part, author inducted two typical cases to analyze and compare, also affirmed that crisis management on university was essential. In the last part, author graded crisis management on university to three moments, including before crisis, on crisis and after crisis. And then, author discussed major task of every moment on crisis management and put forward how to build crisis management system on university, namely, founding crisis management group, setting up crisis presentiment system, establishing crisis predict plan, carrying out simulation drilling, erecting "safety valve" systerm, progressing to answer and communicate on crisis, putting up to renew and value after crisis.There were a lot of achievements of investigation with great maneuverability in many developed countries on theory of crisis management on university. But because it has strong regional character, so this theory is difficult to be popularized. Innovation of the thesis is to combine Chinese university's character to build crisis management systerm on university.
