Teachers are the high crowd of occupations who suffered from the professional burnout.Teachers'professional burnout endangers teachers'mental and physical health ,it also influences the teaching quality at school and the future development of the students.Teachers'professional burnout has interested many psychologists these days.This study investigated the degree of junior school teachers'professional burnout and inferred the relationship between the social support and professional burnout.The study was based on the interview of 438 junior school teachers,with the help of different ways of investigations, as questionares free talks and personal case discussions.The study analyzed the data with SPSS12.0 for Windows by way of descriptive statistics,compare means, correlation analysis and step regression analysis.The results showed that:1.Junior school teachers currently encountered professional burnout, but the degree of professional burnout of junior school teachers was not much serious.Dehumanization or depersonalization was fairly serious.2.Some demographic variables significantly influenced occupational burnout such as city gender,job experience time, city or country, the number of the students and the grade they taught,and the number of the students.Teachers have the teaching experience from 11—15 years ,those who taught morethan 50 students in each class and in Grade Two shared high level of professional burnout.While other demographic variables had no significant effct on professional burnout including teaching bank and Whether he was on duty.3.Correlation analysis showed that there was significient negative correlation between social support and professional burnout.The higher the social support was ,the less serious the professional burnout was.Vice versus. Significient negative correlation also sxisted amang social support and emotional exhaustion, social support and dehumanization, social support and diminished personal accomplishment.It is clear that, social support was the important factor that influenced the teachers'professional burnout.4.Each kind of social support(objective support,subjective support,the utilization of support) had influence to the teachers'professional burnout. Amang them,the subjective support shows the most obvious effct towards different forms and degrees of the teachers'professional burnout.5. The mental support from the society especially that from family members,friends and group participating had the most effective influence to it.While, the function of the colleague who can reduce the degree of the teachers'professional burnout is not obvious.
