Fran Simplicity to Complexity: The Conversion of Thinking Mode in P. E. TeachingEvery era has its dominant mode of thinking. Living in a particular time, no one can break with the influence of the thinking mode of his time.The simplicity principle has always been an important tradition and motivation of scientific research, therefore, the simplicity thinking mode becomes the leading thinking mode in P.E. teaching study. The simplicity thinking results in the concealment of its individual, richness, diversity and complexity.During 1980s in 20th Century, great changes have taken place in traditional science, the complexity science emerged. As one of the most influential activities, the fundamental change of scientific revolution is bound to be accompanied by corresponding changes of thinking modes. The rise of complexity science leads the thinking mode from simplicity to complexity. The efforts on P.E. development should be angled more towards new observation, scan, speculation and annotation. Inspecting the change of things with its nonlinear, overall, open and static features, complexity thinking provides a new direction to Physical Education. The full text divides into five parts altogether:In the first part, it begins with the introduction of the scientific background. It includes the rise of complexity science and its research situation in domestic and overseas, the purpose and the significance of the study, the theoretical basis and the research methods.In the second part, from epistemology angle, the author comparatively analysis and explores the different characteristics between simplicity thinking and complexity thinking and reveals the historical origin of simplicity thinking, also briefly reviews the achievement and current difficulties. Meanwhile the thesis carries on the full elaboration to the complexity thinking to help understand the essence of complexity thinking correctly.In the third part, the author explores the main features of a complex system, argues the overlap of several characteristics of the P.E. teaching system and cognition principle, in order to explain that physical education is a complexity system; and analysis the feasibility and necessity for examine P.E. teaching with complexity thinking.In the fourth part, the author foresees that Physical Education will gain enlightenment from the complexity thinking, and tries to grasp the whole complex of Physical Education to guide P.E. teaching. In the fifth part, the author discusses the questions we should pay attention to while we scan P.E. teaching with complexity thinking. First, the complexity of physical education should be deal as common complexity; Second, prevent erroneous tendencies to simplify complex issues and complicate simple issues. Finally, makes the preliminary discussion to the dialectical relations between the complexity thinking and the simplicity thinking.With the development of complexity science and deeper understanding of the complexity in P.E., complexity thinking will lead P.E. research a new direction . The transition of the thinking mode must benefit further thinking into P.E. teaching.
