In The Speech on the Occasion of the Centennial of Beijing University, given by General Secretary Jiang Zemin on May 4, 1998, he stressed that one of the cultural traditions of the Chinese nation is integrating moral into in the process of seeking knowledge. Without a good moral character, it is impossible to truly put the knowledge gained to the motherland and the people, and will be difficult to accomplish much. It is of great significance for the youth to establish a correct outlook on world, life and values; and to attach importance to moral training and mold character. A common phenomenon among college students is that moral awareness and the practice of it is not uniform, which is hotly discussed and of great theoretical and practical significance.Based on the existing research, the thesis reconsiders the conflict between moral awareness and behavior among college students. It consists of three sections. The first section expounds some basic theories related to the conflict between moral awareness and behavior. It defines"moral awareness","moral behavior","moral awareness and behavior"and"the conflict between moral awareness and behavior". The process that moral awareness converts to moral behavior has been analyzed. All these work laid a theoretical foundation for the further exploration. The second section describes main performance and explores reason behind the conflict between moral awareness and behavior. As we know, what we can see is depended on what perspective we take. The author examines this phenomenon from the follo wing three perspectives: moral education, psychology and sociology, and economics. From the perspective of the moral education in colleges and universities, society, family, and the immaturity of moral education theory and the unscientific of its operation are three basic dimensions. From a sociological and psychological perspective, the psychological immaturity of the college students, the neglect of moral needs and the feature of following the tide are three basic dimensions. Judging from the economic point of view, the interest standard, cost and profit analysis, and the publicity of morality product are three basic dimensions. The third section explores the measures respond to this phenomenon. To realize the unification between moral awareness and behavior, the four basic principles should be adhered to, namely the principle of student-centered, the principle of seeking truth from facts, the principle of joint efforts, and the principle of combining inheritance and reference. To be more specific, efforts should be made from the following aspects: to create a favorable social environment, to understand moral education in colleges and universities correctly, to attach more importance to the process that moral awareness converts to moral behavior, to strengthen the day-to-day management, to establish good moral evaluation and incentive mechanisms, to create a good mechanism for providing services. There are three points about innovation of this article. At first, the perspective that I analyzed the phenomenon from economics is new. Second, the author attaches more importance to the process that moral awareness converts to moral behavior Compared with other articles. At last, the reference material of this article is new.
