Study On The Issues And Countermeasures Of College Students' Career Planning

Nowadays, with the transition of higher education from elite to mass, college students are facing more severe employment pressure. Ways to enhance their competitiveness for employment and their overall quality have become the focus of social concern. In this context the theory and practice of college students' career planning has gradually been attached more and more importance, which plays a major role in students' competitiveness, the long-term healthy development of schools and the maintenance of social stability and prosperity.This paper is based on career planning theories, such as occupation-one matching theory, personality types-vocational types matching theory, and its main channels to attain information and empirical data include documentation inspection, expert advice, questionnaires and interviews. The thesis firstly analyzes the employment situation for college students, points out some problems from aspects of students and schools, explores the relationship between career planning and employment, and in further arrives the conclusion that successful employment and career planning are highly relevant.At present, however, students career planning is imperfect, and there are still some problems, which acts as an important aspect among the causes of many difficulties in the employment of college graduates. These problems are mainly embodied as follows: the weak sense of career planning for college students; lack of self-analysis; fuzzy of methods and planning; short-sighted tendency among planning; unfamiliar with occupational environment, and so on. These directly affect the effectiveness of career planning, resulting in inefficiency. Behind these issues, its deep-rooted causes exist, including many factors from society, colleges to personal. This thesis carries on in-depth analysis to the main reasons from various aspects as follows: negligence of vocational education in China; relative stagnation in college career planning counseling; weakness in evaluation for college students and career counseling; low capacity of tutors engaged in career planning and guidance, etc.After the analysis of causes and on the basis of foreign experience, this paper further targets to the corresponding countermeasures: popularity of concepts about college students career planning; implementation in the basic principles of career planning; construction of career counseling and personnel evaluation, establishing career planning guidance team, as well as the system of social practice.
