In order to improve teaching effect of ideological and political courses, Central Propaganda Department and Ministry of Education write the new plan of curriculum and new books, under extensive investigation on the two-side experience of the past. In the new period, how to implement the plan of new curriculum and use the books effectually, we should take measures from teaching which is the most important part , especially it requires teachers realizing teaching link as well as dealing well with middle school teaching . It has important practical significance to achieve the teaching link: it is beneficial to prompt the reform and the construction of the curriculum plan actively; to enhance the teaching effect of ideological and political courses; to strengthen the affectivity of ideological and political education; to accelerate the development of college students comprehensively and harmoniously. How can we actualize these? Besides the close link between the two segment, the ideological and political courses between university and the middle school share the unity of nature, goals, the consistency of content, the similar teaching forms and the same background of education reform all of them provide the important conditions for teaching link. But there are lots of negative factors that affect the teaching link, which include teaching concept, teaching content, the process of curriculum reform and the quality of teacher. Therefore, in order to achieve the task of teaching link, we have to work from the teaching concept because concept is the guide to action. While teaching aims, teaching content, teaching approaches and teaching appraise are important parts of teaching practice which should be harmonized well. All of these should be droved by teacher which is the leading factor of teaching. That is to say teacher is the key factor whether teaching link can be achieved. So, in order to realize teaching link, we should put different segment of teaching together. There are several ways to achieve the goal: firstly, persist "people-oriented" thought, to guide the link of teaching ; secondly, establish scientific levels of the educational objectives , to service the link of teaching; thirdly, integrate the teaching resources and strengthen the focus, to achieve the link of teaching; fourthly, rationally use both the traditional and modern method, to promote the link of teaching; fifthly, evaluate comprehensively and scientifically, to assure the link of teaching; sixthly, enhance the training and pay special attention to the exchange and the cooperation, to drive off the link of teaching.
