The prosperity of the nation economy, and the setting up of harmonious societies all depend on technological advance, but the healthy development of science technology has to be directed and orientated by the humanities spirit. The humanities spirit and humanistic qualities have conspicuous importance at the knowledge-based economy ages. The humanistic qualities is science and technology talented person's essential character, only the person of higher humanistic qualities and science character can become a great scientist. Due to the education system in our country, science students of universities in our country have inborn shortage at humanistic qualities' aspect, compared with students in school of arts, which needs to be taken in raise by passing a humanities education. It contains tremendous humanities value in our classics of sinology, and through reading them, our science students of universities can strengthen their comprehensive characters and improve a creative ability, in order to contribute their efforts to "science and technology make our country strong" betterly.The writer takes the present situation of science students of universities in reading classics of sinology as the study target. Through the investigations and interviews to students in key universities, common universities, vocational colleges and academies, the writer finds that at present, the situation of science and technology students' reading classics of sinology is not optimistic, and fuzzy understanding of sinology and the classics, lack of reading motivation, insufficient interest in these classics, in sufficient reading experience, unsatisfactory knowledge retention after reading, inadequate reading channels often occur. The main reasons lie in that people have biased understanding towards our traditional culture, and students are usually affected by the views of "technological supremacy", and technological and pragmatic vies and negative factors of market, mass culture, internet culture and claim of the difficulty of students' reading sinological classics, the claim of the need for reform of reading method and so on. Therefore, the author puts forward solutions to solve these problems of science and technology students in reading sinological classics: based on the perpetualist education perspective, the unity theory of scientific and humanistic education, relevant theories of national culture recognition and motive psychology as well as the orientation of national policies, in the first place, disseminate the right understanding of sinology towards the students ; Secondly, classes for sinological classics' reading are required in universities and colleges and gradually guide students towards appreciation of sinology; and then , reform teaching method of reading, adopt group learning; in the meantime, enrich the extracurricular reading channels of sinological classics; Finally, improve the quality of appreciating the classics of sinology of the teachers and tutors. The above measures are expected to better the reading status quo of science students of universities and colleges.
