Content:Population is in a core about resource,ecology,environment and the sustainable development, and is also a important reseach in population geography。Different majority and sochers have done lots of useful studies,But study about population distribution in poyang lake area still is a zero。poyang lake is a biggest lake in china,and an international important wetland,how to protect its environment and make economy progress in poyang lake area,these are related with poyang lake area population distribution。So to study the population distribution character in poyang lake area is very significant.According to the data of Jiangxi Province the statistical yearbook in 1991,2001 and 2006, and from the fifth population census, And make them become GIS data。Selecting reflected population distribution'index, by making ordinary mathematical analysis, GIS and spatial statistics technique to analysis the data for learning poyang lake population distribution's spatial character; and analyse correlation between regional economy development and some population attribute ; then using related urbanization theory to analyse population urbanization character; then with Narayana(modify) model and pull-thrust theory analyse poyang lake migration character; eventually the paper gives the advice on how to advance the population.distribution .
