A Research On The Problems And Strategies Of Tranining Western College Teachers

Due to the particularity between the universities directly under the Ministry of Eduction and the priority universisties in "211 project" , their development condition, basis and leverl have great difference from other wester universities . In order to study for convenience and ensure the reseach effectiveness, the scope of "the westrn universities" in this paper is mainly about the ordinary universities and colleges (including teachnical college and instition of higer education for adults)in westren undeveloped area.Since the western college is located in a remote area where economic developent relativeely slows down and the foundation of college remains loose, overall the college teahers possess relatively poorer qualitywith different knowledge structure. The problem of their training, which remains in a poor state, does not raise problems which a rise in training and the related strategies so as to accelerate the efforts for training the western college teachers. That's the intention of this paper.The paper firstly gives a brief introduction of national and overseas training situation, such as "fix inexplicit target, have no specific purpose for training and make the training contents and forms single", and analyses the theory of college teachers' training;then through a case study of Guangxi Economic Management Cadere College, the author puts forward some specific strategies, such as "to build the people-oriented concept and acollege with academic atmosphere", to solve the problems; finally it analyses the problems which arise in the training of westrn college teachers, and finds out the reasons; furthermore, it puts forward some suggested strategies for setting up "lifelong education; college-oriented training; strengthen the cooperation and communication for training between the eastern and the western college teachers;try every means to collect training funds;strengthen building the system of assessment of the western collge teachers' training quality; and self-training" .
