In china, the science curriculum becomes the important point in the new Curriculum reform. But our science teacher training has a lot of questions. Whatever the content or the form is old, it cannot be satisfied with our teachers. The teachers have a lot of bias to our training. So this situation made our teacher training no effectiveness. The science teacher training started late in china, so it is best time to perfect science teacher training, to reinforce the effectiveness and to overcome abuse.To solve the difficulty of effectiveness in science teacher training, we must do an important thing before science teacher training ---- Science Teacher training need analysis. In china, there is a little of the research about science teacher training need analysis. So the researcher thought this research is very meaningful. The aim of research is investigating the ability of science teacher, the need of science teacher training and analyzing the need. We hope the result of the research can provide some suggestions to organization of science teacher training and help to establish the system of science teacher training.The research uses the method of questionnaire in chief, and use interview to assist the research. We used document research to organize the questionnaire, and then forecast the questionnaire. To amend the questionnaire according to forecasting. Finally we do the regular test. The researcher recode the information of test with computer, do anglicizing test. Interviewing about some information to get the conclusion.Thought the investigating by questionnaire and interviewing, we know the knowledge of course in science is weak in our teacher. The teachers in fringe area are better than the teachers in city and country in ability of science course. Overall the teachers are in the lever of normal. But comparing with other place, the quality of our science teachers is high.The teachers have a lot of need in instructional practice. To different contents and different categories, the teachers have different needs. This gives us more suggestionsWe found that teachers like to join the training in the summer holidays and in winter vacation, but nobody like to join the training at night. More teachers hope to get reward about professional post though the training. A lot of teachers often join the instruction of viewing and emulating. They read books to training themselves .So the instruction of viewing and emulating is thought the best effective method. More instruction work and fewer fees is the most important factor to influence the training .Now the motivation of teachers is high; they pay attention to the number of training, than the quality of training. This is a contradictory between the less training and the more motivation.The research gives us lots of suggestion about the training. Such as the agency of education should make the method of assessing the ability of local science teachers, hold some activities of deliberating and the instruction of viewing and emulating and give some rewards about professional post. The agent of teacher training should plan the training according to the information of training object.The research also investigates the fringe area and compares it with city and country.The article includes five parts. Part one foreword about the background of research, the meaning and aim of research, a train of thought of the research, the structure of research and the method of research. Part two expounds Science Teacher training need analysis and the instruction ability of science teachers. Part three includes the method of research, the processing of research. It details the method, tools, and the processing. It involves choosing the object, making the outline of interviewing and the analysis. Part four is the result of the research and the analysis. In this part we deal with the information of questionnaire and interviewing, and then analyze. Part five is conclusion of research. This part gives a summary of research. and some suggestions of training.
