It is a necessary demand to the specialization of teachers to changeteacher-training into teacher education. Reconstructing teacher educationcurriculum system is the core and key to teacher education. The reformcenter of it lies in curriculum. And the reform of teacher educationcurriculum system should establish a cultivation aim and standardaccording to specialized standard in teachers' profession. Early in the21th century, most of the normal schools in our country had beenpromoted into local comprehensive Undergraduate Course Academies,with the rate of non-teacher-training specialities becoming higher andhigher. Traditional teacher-training has ebbed away. Therefore, it hasbecome an important question for discussion to push wholly thedevelopment of teacher education, to construct a cultivation model ofteachers' pre-occupation education, to reform teacher educationcurriculum system and to keep the advantages and characteristics ofteacher-training in these local comprehensive Undergraduate CourseAcademies.For a long time, the degree of teachers being specialized has beenlow. The main reasons are that teacher-training system is relatively close,the cultivation model of talents is singular, the curriculum system of teachers, pre-occupation education is unreasonable, and the teachingcontents lags behind education reform. Hoping to give reference toteacher education in new undergraduate course academies and to raise thequality of teacher education specialization by constructing a new teachereducation curriculum system, I write this thesis about the research onteacher education curriculum arrangement of in local comprehensiveUndergraduate Course Academies by applying the theory into practice,inheriting the principle of creating new ideas as well as borrowing fromothers, adapting the methods of making research by comparing,investigating and consulting the references.The first part of this thesis first puts forward the reform of teachereducation and its curriculum arrangement in our country in the global tideof teacher specialization, then introduces the reasons to select this subject,the theoretical and practical significance of the research. It has madepreliminary dissertation on the relationship between teacherspecialization, teacher education and its curriculum arrangement, and hassummed up relative research about teacher education. At last the researchcontents and research methods of this thesis has been introduced.The second part is about the comparison of teacher educationbetween countries. I've made a survey into teacher education curriculumarrangement in developed countries, in order to know its valueorientation, curriculum structure, arrangement characteristics anddevelopment trend. Their curriculum domain includes general educationcourses, subject speciality courses and education speciality courses, withwide, pedagogic, practical, various and flexible knowledge. Thecurriculum arrangement of pre-occupation teacher education in developedcountries inspires us: education speciality courses should be added,practice courses should be strengthened, elective courses should betaken and general education courses should be developed in the reform of curriculum arrangement of pre-occupation teacher education.The third part is a leading case study. A survey has been made to theteacher education curriculum arrangement schemes in several newundergraduate course academies in Hunan Province such as Hunaninstitute of Science and Technology. Comparing the curriculumarrangement of pre-occupation teacher education in developed countries,I think that the main problems of the curriculum arrangement ofpre-occupation teacher education in our local undergraduate courseacademies lie in that the teacher education concept, the curriculumsystem, the teaching contents and the teaching methods and means do notfit the requirements of education modernization and quality education.The fourth part probes into the reform of teacher educationcurriculum arrangement in local undergraduate course academies on thebasis of the above comparison and the case study. A module coursestructure of teacher education has been worked out, and a new curriculumproject of teacher education speciality in Hunan institute of Science andTechnology has been constructed. In the new curriculum project,education speciality courses have been strengthened, a great deal ofselective courses have been provided, and the teachers' ability ofeducating and research has been emphasized. This project incarnates thecharacteristics of teacher education specialization.
