Thoughs of instrumentalism on higher education plays animportant role in the reformat and development of highereducation in USA. In USA utiliarianism held by higher educationis the most advantageous environmental factor in producing thethought of USA instrumentalism on higher education, which formsthe function of social service of university. While Americanhigh education has provided sufficient intellectual supportfor development of USA, therefore it becomes a main drving forcein making USA the strongest in the world in military affairs,economy, politics and education.
