With the deepening reform of basic education in our country,more attention has been paid to quality education and aesthetic education thus making music education become an essential part of quality education.The teaching content in the traditional music classroom can basically meet the common music literacy demand of students.However,in order to improve students’ comprehensive music ability,it is necessary to introduce the second classroom teaching to meet the individual needs of students.As the extension of the traditional classroom teaching,the second classroom is based on the school textbooks but not limit itself in the main point of the textbooks.While consolidating and deepening the first classroom teaching,second classroom pays more attention to the need of students’ personality development and innovative practice activities.Therefore,carrying out the second classroom helps students apply the knowledge into practice based on traditional teaching,which promote students’ music literacy and ability more extensively and deeply.Primary school education plays a key role in quality education.To carrying forward national music and appreciating the diversity of music culture,the excellent traditional music of all nationalities in China should be regarded as an important part of music teaching.This has greatly boosted the status of national music in basic education in primary and secondary schools.As an indispensable part of national music,instrumental music plays an important stage in stimulating students’ interest in learning music and improving students’ understanding,expression and creativity in music.Because the national moral integrity contained in the national instrumental music helps to the improve students’ artistic accomplishment,learning the national instrumental music is more effective in implementing the aesthetic education and the inheritance of the national spirit while enhancing the primary school students’ understanding of the national culture.This paper takes the three aspects of school,teacher and student as the research subject,investigates the current situation of the second class of national instrumental music in Haikou primary schools and analyses six primary schools with different degrees of second classroom development.While summing up the experience,this paper finds out the existing problems and puts forward some thoughts on teaching,which aims to provide an effective strategy for the teaching of instrumental music in the second classroom of Haikou Primary School.There five section in this paper.Section I elaborates the background and significance of research,domestic status,research methods and innovative thinking of this paper.Section II first explains the importance of the second class,then describes the basic characteristics and educational significance of the second class,and finally emphasizes the teaching significance brought by the national instrumental music for the second class.Section III shows the results of the survey about current situation of the national instrumental music teaching in the second classroom of Haikou City Primary School and gives an overview of the teaching situation of the primary school that has already carried out the second classroom national instrumental music teaching.Through sending out questionnaires for schools with different levels of teaching and interviewing music teachers,this paper shows the current situation of the teaching of national instrumental music in the second classroom of these school.Section IV analyzes the teaching situation of the national instrumental music in the second classroom of Haikou Primary School.Through field investigation and data statistics,we sum up the teaching benefits generated by the second class of national instrumental music in student education.This section finally presents the problems existing in the development of the second class of the instrumental music instrument.In Section V,by referring to the experience of the schools which has carried out second class of national instrumental music and consulting a large number of documents and materials,we tries to make best use of the advantages and bypass the disadvantages,then put forward the strategy of developing the teaching of national instrumental music of second class in Haikou primary school and gives effective opinions to other primary schools with difficulties in carrying our second class.
