Analyzing The Factors Which Lead To The Shortage Of Higher Education Donations

This paper uses the interview method and comparing method etc. to analyze the factors which lead to the fact that in all higher education's expenses' sources, social source isn't enough, and especially short of donations from mainland. Acdording to different backgrounds, including business, the birth place, ect. I have chosen some entrepreneurs of Guangzhou as the interview objects. By analyzing the motives of some real examples and comparing with the U.S.A, together with the interview result, this paper gives the conclusions as follows. And discusses finally how the higher education of our country uses domestic and international experience for reference and strengthen the ability to raise social fund based on the local charactors.The study shows that firstly, the low degree of government sincerity, the unreasonable treatment to donated fund, the imperfect supervise system, and the indeterminate policy guidance is one of the important factors influencing the society to donate higher education. Secondly, the NGO of the continent of our country develops imperfectly, and lacks qualified personnel in a specific field and voluntarily donate mechanism, which restrains domestic social givings of higher education. Thirdly, university's excessive reliance psychologically on the state finance lowers it's enthusiasm to raise funds through many channels. At last, the media's role in this theme is not enough, and social traditional idea also lies in somebody' brain, which stops higher education from obtaining social donations, too.Therefore, I think that if we want to obtain more social forces to support the higher education of our country, we must make great efforts to structure a sincere, transparent, high-efficient organic system of raising social donations of higher education.Some problems which is involved in this paper await the further research. I only do some preliminary discussions here for the future research.
