Along with implementation of New Curriculum Reform of basiceducation in the south region of Shaanxi Province, the problem of rural primary andsecondary school teachers' professional development were also been placed on thereform agenda. New Curriculum Reform is a systemic project and the quality ofteachers is the most important key which decide the success of New Curriculum Reform.Based on the status research, the author will put forward a professional developmentmodel for rural primary and secondary school teachers in the south region of ShannxiProvince. This paper includes 5 parts. The main content of each component is:Part one: Introduction. In this part, the author set out the reasons of why choosethis topic and the significance of topics. Then I defined the concepts which related toteachers' professional development. The third one is a Literature Review. The last one isthe thread and method of the research.Chapter One: The survey and analysis about the current status of rural primary andsecondary school teachers' professional development. Firstly, I expounded on thetheoretical basis for the design of the questionnaires. Then I use these questionnaires tosurvey and analysis the current status of rural primary and secondary school teachers'professional development in the south region of Shaanxi Province.Chapter Two: The construct of the professional development model for ruralprimary and secondary school teachers in the south region of Shaanxi Province. Thischapter includes the following content: (1) an analysis of the well-known model forteachers' professional development; (2) the theoretical framework realistic foundationof the "Autonomy+Action+Cooperation" professional development model for primaryand secondary school teachers; (3) the construct of the professional development modelfor rural primary and secondary school teachers.Chapter Three: Practice and reflection. In this chapter, I was put the constructedmodel into practice. And I also reflected the model through research logs of the authorand three participants.Last Part: Fragment.
