Nowadays poverty has become one of important issues that restrict the development of the world. Many experts and scholars are researching on the issue of rural poverty, and they also discover that poverty not merely means the shortage of money, but a syndrome, that is, the poverty resulting from the low level of the poverty colony's quality, namely poverty caused by educational deficiency.Poverty caused by educational deficiency is the colony's poverty, which emerges owing to the fact that the colony's mental concepts, thinking styles, culture knowledge and technological capabilities can't meet the needs of resource exploitation and reconstruction, or rather the deficiency of relative formal or informal educational opportunity and education consumption. According to my case study of Hope Village, poverty caused by educational deficiency mainly represents as follows : deficient culture quality of labor force, lower productivity, unproportional self-production, over rapid growth of population, insufficient of education investment ,shortage of education fee and lagged culture concepts system et al. Obviously, farmers' self-developments have been terribly fettered through the poverty caused by educational deficiency, thus increasing the poverty in rural economy, and it also makes it hard for farmers of poverty areas to get rid of the poverty. Therefore, it is reasonable that high rate of return-to-poverty exists.Poverty caused by educational deficiency roots from poverty of the body's capability and quality. Therefore, in order to be free from the poverty state, what we should do is to liberate farmers from the dated traditional concept as well as the behindhand mode of production from tradition, the earlier the better! The firstly, what we must do now is to establish and perfect multiform education styles and try to realize varieties of education as a whole, including compulsory education, vocational education, adult education, distance education ,et al. Secondly, the contents should be concentrated on the conceptual education and education of science and technology, blazing the enthusiasm and activity of farmers' self-developments so as to realize the aim of relieving poverty with education.
