Schein's Career Theory is divided into two parts: One is "Career Anchors Theory" and the other is "Career Development Theory". Researches work on the first part mainly contain that revised Career Orientations Inventory and that proved hypothesizes, that is, every person has one career anchor and every profession has a dominant anchor. Research on Career development Theory is processed as follows: exploring the criteria of dividing the career stages; comparing the needs and values of individual on different career stage.This paper tries to apply Schein's theory to probe into the primary school teachers' career planning. As a result, seven conclusions are drawn as follows:1,The reliability and validity of the "Career Intention Inventory revision scale" reached a remarkable level, which means it can be applied to native participants.2, There really exists dominant career anchors in the primary school teachers from north of JiangSu province, e.g. Security and Stability Anchor, Creativity Anchor, Sense of Service Anchor and Lifestyle Anchor, all of that are in accordance with the hypothesis of Schein's.3. Around 28 percent of the subjects have more than one career anchor, which tells disagreement of the original hypothesis.4. Gender and education upper level play significant difference on Pure Challenge Anchor, while urban-country region factor plays significant difference on Security and Stability Anchor, Lifestyle Anchor and Creativity ones, while basic educational level plays significant difference on General Managerial Competence Anchor and Security & Stability Anchor.5. Age, year of work and professional skills are three criteria for judging the career stages.6. Based on the age and professional skills criteria, no significant difference occurs among primary school teachers' every level of needs, whereas significant difference occurs according to the year of work.7. Basing on all of three criteria, primary school teachers present to have both common values and difference .
