Teachers are not only the initiator of knowledge, but also the learners, they need constantly learning and training to keep professional development. At present, there are many problems in teachers' training of primary and secondary school, The educational institutions who undertake training task organize the top-down in-service teacher training. Their training orientation, training content and training objectives are all out of line with teacher's will. It wastes a lot of manpower and material resources.Teacher's professional development is a continuous and dynamic process. Teachers in different career stages face different contradictions in practice and have different needs in teacher training. In this paper, the training needs of teachers in different career stages are analyzed and summarized by the way of empirical research. Some proposals are given to improve training quality according to the the characteristics of the current training needs of teachers.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction to the research background, research ideas, research methods and research significance. It described the basic concept of this paper, and carried on a simple summary to the existing research on the teachers' training demand.Based on the survey data, the second part shows the current status of the present situation of primary and middle school teachers' participation in training.In the third part,the training needs of teachers in different career stages are summarized from two aspects.The fourth part summarizes the characteristics and deficiencies of the current training needs of primary and secondary school teachers.From the view of the teachers' group in this study,the characteristics of teacher training needs are: training content focused on practical and the training forms pay attention to participation.Besides, it summarized the defect in teacher training need in two aspects: ignoring basic education theory and teacher's professional ethics.The fifth part put forward four suggestions for teacher training work based on the demand of teacher training. First, pay attention to the diversity of teacher's needs, refine the training organization and form. Second, make every teacher have the opportunity to participate in teacher training. Third, arrange the training time reasonably. Fourth, pay attention to the teacher's subjective status and increase the autonomy of teachers.
