The situational teaching of geography refers to the teaching method which uses specific activity situation or offers study information to arouse the interest of learners and improve their study efficiency. Guided by the new curriculum theory, teaching theory, modern study theory, and some other related scientific theories , this thesis puts for ward the prnuiples insfructing the design of teaching scene , based on the analgsis the situational teaching of geography. The principles are tested in practice. The thesis mainly includes four parts: the general introduction of the design of geography teaching scenes, the theories principles, the basic methods of designing teaching scene.In the first part, the contents of situational teaching have been defined. The purport are analyzed from four sides including the meaning of situational teaching for geography, class-teaching construction, the development of students, the specialization of teachers.The second part is "the theoretic bases of designing situational teaching of geography." It is necessary and important to design geography teaching scenes. I explore a series of geography teaching scenes under the guidance of the modern study theory and explore the psychology of making teaching scenes.under the guidance of esthetics theory.The third part, the care of this thesis is about the principles of making teaching scenes. Under the guidance of the theories mentioned above, I suggest that the design of geography teaching scenes should conform to students physical and psychologic characteristics, consider the styles of students learning and teachers teaching, be oriented to the needs of all students and pay attention to the differences between individuals base on students' life experiences and be dose to practice, have proper difficulty and efficiency and have creativeness and openness .The fourth part, the other care of this thesis deals with the basic methods of designing teaching scenes. According to the principles stated above, it puts forward some corresponding methods of designing teaching scenes for geographic knowledge, procedure knowledge and strategic knowledge. At the same time, it analyzes some cases and methods explores the notes for the frequently used methods.Finally, a conclusion is drawn that it is necessary and meaningful to do this kind of research. In the summary the limitation of the research is also pointed out .Where the research is going to lead us and where the key is have been discussed too.
