| With the development of E-education, the ability of using educational technology has become an important aspect in judging a teacher's professional proficiency. Standards of Educational Technology of China (SETC) issued on December, 2004 provides a reasonable criterion in assessing teachers' ability of using educational technology. On the basis of SETC, the researcher designs a questionnaire, which aims at investigating the current situation in cultivating normal school students' ability of educational technology, and makes an analysis on the problems, and then puts forward some systematic strategies about them.This dissertation is composed of eight parts.Part 1 is the introduction of the paper, which includes the research background, the research situation, the research purpose, the research significance and the research method.Part 2 introduces the development of teacher specialization, in which the definition of teacher specialization and the general situation of teacher specialization both in and out of China are involved.Part 3 is about a thorough understanding of ability of educational technology, in which the differences between education technology and information technology are stated and on the basis of SETC, the researcher puts forward the criterion for judging normal school students' ability of educational technology.Part 4 is about the process and the result of investigation. The current situation about cultivating normal school students' ability of educational technology and about students mastering and application for education technology have been investigated.Part 5 is an analysis on the main problems in cultivating normal school students' ability of educational technology and the researcher's reflection upon it.Part 6 discusses the strategies in cultivating normal school students' ability of educational technology.Part 7 is the conclusion of the paper. The originality and the limitations of the present study are stated.
