Mathematics plays a very important and irreplaceable role in process of forming rational thinking and individual intelligence development for human beings. Mathematics quality is the indispensable one that citizens must not be short of. Making every student develop their mathematics ability is the goal that the new National Curriculum Standard wants to achieve, but the problem of slow mathematics learners is ahead of us, which is still severe. Therefore, it has practical educational significance to study the problem, finding out the reasons and exploring solutions to solving it.The study is conducted in this way: first, the author surveys the students with poor mathematics in senior one. Second, the author puts forward the solutions to changing them into better ones under the guide of modern educational theories. Finally, the author also performed a case study. The conclusions can be drawn in the following:Firstly, the main problems of slow mathematics learners lie in: (1) they have very poor mathematics foundations; (2) they are not interested in mathematics and short of confidence. Therefore, more attention should be paid to the two aspects.Secondly, the students with poor mathematics are a special group. At present, many factors that are not in favor of transforming them still exist in education. As a result, kinds of factors must be optimized to transform them, including teachers'teaching viewpoints, students'nonintellectual factors and educational environment. In process of the study, many research methods are made use of by the author. Accept questionnaire, interview, literature method and case analysis method are also included.
