With the deepening and development of the new round of the reform on basic education courses, people have more and more realized the significance of the complete making of the teachers who serve as the practicers of course reform. At the same time, with the continuous deepening of the study on the specialization theories of teachers, people are paying more attention on the growth and development of teachers ---especially famous educators. Against this background, according to the logic thinking process of"what it is---how it operates---why it is so", the article employs a way of the combination of statement and cases as well as a comparison between the two to explore the core of the growth of famous educators---the mode, mechanism and law theoretically and practically.First, the article defines the concept and connotation of famous educators. As to the definition of famous educators, though it can be seen in nearly ten kinds of documents, it seems unable to decide which is right. The article defines the concept in a way of graduation, that is: First, they are teachers; Second ,they have certain fame; Third, they enjoy certain amount of reputation; Fourth, they are recognized by quite some people; Fifth, they have some influences in the field of teaching; Sixth, they have a higher professional attainment of teachers; Seventh, they are creative in some way; Eighth, with outstanding achievement; Ninth, also lastly, famous educators are shaped naturally in the field of education.Then, the article gives an analysis and a discussion to the basic mode of the growth of famous educators, focusing on the three-sided features of the main mode of famous educators, that is to say, they have to be able to teach, do research and be good at writing. The article also analyses the relationship of the three features, among which teaching is the premise and basis of research, research is the conclusion and improvement of teaching, and wring is the generalization and sublimation of teaching and research .Furthermore, the article explores the mechanism of the growth of famous educators. The analysis is done in the following three aspects: First, personality, including ideology, devotion and contribution; Second, behavioural mechanism, including learning, practice and reflection; Third, exogenous(environmental) mechanism, including family, organization and society. Among these, the first mechanism belongs to inner spiritual level; the second one falls into outward action level; the third one ,outside influencing factor level. These three are both interdependent and interconnected to help with the growth of famous educators.Finally, in combination with the research object and the relevant study in the past, the article discusses the basic law of the growth the famous educators from the following six aspects: First, periodical law, mainly about the features and laws of famous educators in time of professional adaptation, mature competence, highland platform ,successful creation and retirement; Second, law of growth of the famous educators in key periods, mainly dealing with the features and laws of adaptation period, the key period; Third, law of the breakout period, mainly about the features and laws of the breakout period, the period of highland platform; Fourth, the features of the influences of age on the growth of famous educators; Fifth, influencing features of normal universities and non-normal universities; Sixth, the features of influences of sex on the growth of famous educators.Overall, the article intends to have an analysis and discussion about the mode, mechanism and law of the growth of famous educators in theory and significance interpretation and action so as to provide inspiration and reference for education of the students in normal universities and of those in active service .
