The Study On The Construction Of Gym Teaching Staff In Common Colleges In Henan Province

The function and status of teacher are respected universally by the country and society through the ages. In contemporary China, the gym teachers in college are taking great responsibilities in cultivating students into high quality talents in the 21st century. As one of the important tasks in university, developing the gym teachers in every way vigorously is fundamental to the future gym development in college.This article adopts various means, e.g. literature review, experts-interview, questionnaires, statistical methods and logical analysis. 476 gym teachers and 10 directors in gym departments out of 10 colleges in Henan province are treated as subject based on the research conditions. Through the aspects of teacher amounts, ages, educational background, academic titles, teaching and researching abilities, training situations, ideological and political conditions and profits, the structural situations and problems in the common colleges of Henan province are reflected, and the causes and dangers are thoroughly analyzed.The results show that in the colleges of Henan province the amount of the gym teachers is severely inadequate, and the average age of high professional teachers is much older, and there is an obvious fault in the high-titled teaching staff, also personnel with high academic titles are few. So the quality and teaching level in the gym teaching need further improvement, and the knowledge structure needs renovation immediately. The study training is now less optimistic, and researching abilities are relatively weak, and the physical trainings and competitions are not enough yet. The profits of gym teachers are expected to get better, and the raising drain tendency of high-talent teachers needs serious concern.Responding to the above problems and with respect to the reality of common colleges in Henan province, the paper proposes the following suggestions: the importance should be highly raised by relevant directors and branches; the gym teachers should be put in the right position in the whole college; the teaching environment should be improved; the teaching staff should be stabilized; the holistic research abilities in gym circle should be strengthened to foster expert-teacher in the teaching position; the raise of teaching level of the gym teachers, positive reform in teaching, high investment in researches and projects and conversion of educational achievements should be concerned; the encouragement mechanism within gym department should be optimized and right notion of staff management will be established, also the competition and open-management mechanisms involving the addition, foster, testing, employment, promotion and encouragement of teachers are expected to be established and improved. The talent strategy action and structural optimization should also be enacted, and adequate training chances should be created by various means to introduce into more talents in order to refresh their knowledge structure and raise their theoretical and practical ability. The political work on the staff should be strengthened to promote their loyalty to the work and add enthusiasm and belief in the academic teaching. The staff should be stabilized in thoughts and everyday life to improve their treatments and profits with means of full outlay and services, and the practical obstacles are expected to be solved thoroughly and profound social position are highly expected. The paper gives a systematic scanning and prospect in the gym teaching staff in common colleges of Henan province, so as to serve as a valuable reference to the healthy, harmonious and speedy development in the sport career in colleges of Henan province.
