Subjective Well-Being (SWB) refers to the wholistic appraisal of one's life quality made relying on one's own criteria. It's an important, comprehensive psycho-index to evaluate one's life quality. SWB includes two basic components: Satisfaction With Life and Affective Experience. Satisfaction With Life refers to the cognitive appraisal of one's genneral livelihood; Affective Experience consists of positive feelings and negative feelings. Social support is the effect of relieving one's psychological response to stress, alleviating one's nervous tension, improve one's social adaptive capability. In practical research, Social Support usually includes family support, friend support, and other support, it especially stresses the understanding and comprehension of various sources of Social SupportIn this research, students from coastal middle schools and middle schools in the interior were chosen as subjects. The Adolescent Subjective Well-being Schedule compiled by ZhangXinggui and Perceptive Social Support Schedule were employed to inquire into the status quo of SWB and social support of middle school students on the coast and in the interior.Conclusions were drawn that:1. The SWB of middle school students are influenced by many factors. In this research, there are significantly statistical differences between the SWB of coastal middle school students and that of interior middle school students. What's more, there are significant statistical differences between the students'SWB of middle school run by the local people and that of middle school run by the nation. The SWB of middle school students varies significantly in terms of the gender of students, singleton or not, the family atmosphere of students, the family structure of students, the educational backgrounds of students parents, the school achievements of students. There aren't statistical variance in the SWB of middle school students in terms of family income of students.2. The Social Support of middle school students are influenced by many factors. In this research, there are significantly statistical differences between the Social Support of coastal middle school students and that of interior middle school students. What's more, there are significantly statistical differences between the students'Social Support of middle school run by the local people and that of middle school run by the nation. The Social Support of middle school students varies significantly in terms of singleton or not, the family atmosphere of students, the family structure of students, the educational backgrounds of students parents, the school achievements of students. There aren't statistical variance in the Social Support of middle school students in terms of the gender of students, family income of students. 3. There are significant positive correlation between the SWB and Social Support of middle school students both on the coast and in the interior.
