On The Relationships Among Subjective Well-being、personality Traits And Mental Health Status Of Nursing Students

Objective:. Students’ Mental Health has become the focus of social attention, and nursing students as a “sub-populations” have characteristics different from the general university students. This study will be on the horizon of positive psychology at the sight of the nursing students through general well-being,personality and mental health survey to explore the relationship among the three, to take specific measures and methods to improve the medical colleges of nursing students provide quality comprehensive psychological theory.Methods: This study selected nursing undergraduate, specialist and clinical specialty grades one, three for each of the three small classes with a stratified cluster sampling method, selected fifth grade teaching hospital nursing students, professional students of all three clinical practice squad as the object of study, a questionnaire survey and explore the relationship between the three. The questionnaire included self general questionnaire, 90 SCL, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire and overall well-being scale.Results:(1) there are differences of research object’s general well-being in grade, family type, family economic circumstances, extent of family harmony and other aspects. General wellbeing of five grade is higher than other grades; general well-being of the nuclear family is higher than single-parent families and big family; the general well-being of family economic situation is generally higher than poor economic conditions; family harmony and overall well-being high to appear in family quarrels.(2) junior personality traits, in terms of introversion and neuroticism than other grades;higher college undergraduate study in terms of introversion and neuroticism; served as student leaders of the study than those who did not serve as student leaders in terms of introversion object; family economic good and object of study is higher than the general economic situation of the family in terms of less neurotic.(3) undergraduate study better mental health specialist; family economic situation is better, and general mental health study family economic situation is better than less; mental health study family harmony and peace is better than the occasional quarrels. The study subjects score higher than normal, indicating that the study of mental health than the national youth norm poor.(4) The study found that general well-being scale scores and symptom checklist scores were negatively correlated, the higher the general well-being of the research object SCL-90 scale score lower, on behalf of their mental health is better.(5) The study found that personality traits of introversion and neuroticism dimension and SCL was positively correlated with the spirit of quality dimensions and cover up sexual and SCL negative correlation.Conclusion:(1) in this study mental health of nursing students is poorer than the national youth norm.(2)the degree of family harmony is an important factor affecting mental health; grade, professional and family harmony degree are the main factors affecting overall happiness; whether classes in different grades and dry is an important factor affecting personality traits.(3) nursing and clinical professional students comprehensive sense of happiness in “anxiety”, “energy”, “melancholy or happy mood ”and “health worries”four dimensions differences;Mental health status in the differences between “positive project divide” dimensions.(4) general well-being, the higher the better mental health;Introverted, moderate, rational and emotional stability, stubborn student mental health is in good condition.
