China has a population of 1.3 billion people of which 9 hundred millions are peasants, it can be said that China's fundamental problem is rural, while education is the biggest problem of rural. Now rural families generally have one to two children, whether they can receive more education or not is directly related to the future of the new rural construction.On rural education, we often hear a voice that,"make sure the children to go to school even if smashing the pan or selling iron is need". There seems to be recognized that: "Education can changes life". But recently a different kind of voice is rising:"What you can do even you go to the college? To know the common words are OK."On the two statements, With this question, I went a village of JiLin province to do a field study, as the peasants'view of value and education value for down-lead, choose the north underdeveloped rural areas as sample, use research methods such as Observation, interviews, questionnaires, etc., To study the peasants kind of attitude and perspective for their children to receive an education.The background of this essay is family's education decision in underdeveloped rural areas. Based on interviews with parents, their children and the school teachers; besides, through the observation of daily life for families and the manners of educate their children, using Qualitative research methods to collection the underdeveloped areas family education policy data. Analyzed in underdeveloped rural areas of family and education decision factors.This paper consists of two parts:The first part is the investigation of peasants in the education of their children in the decision-making of a village in Jilin Province. Survey shows peasants roughly divided into two types: one kind of performance is"Jump agricultural Gate "is the fundamental motivation of learn for majority of rural children, also the main purpose to the majority of parents for supply their children to school, in any case, even if he was exhausted also for their children to study. Peasants send their children to school in order to leave rural areas to go to college in the future. To their poor material, use their curved spine, quietly shouldered a big mountain which carrying a life mission, the full significance. Another kind of performance is they also hope that their children can have a promising future, can go to the college, but high tuition fees also make them helpless, once lags behind in study, they'll not allow the child to continue to go to school, because in their opinion, it is wasting money only.The second part will analysis the factors of the real life of peasants education values, including heavy burden of education, Parents expectations of the education of their children, Family income, parent education degree, parental occupation etc.
