The Relationship Of The Psychology Of Superstition And The Psychological Control Source In The Middle School Students

This research used a questionnaire to survey 184 middle school students, and inspected the characteristic of the psychology of superstition of them, as well as the relationship between the psychology of superstition and the psychological control source. The result indicated that:(1)75.5% of middle-school students have read books about telling fortunes, interpreting dreams, constellation, animal representation of a birth year and so on ; When they had to solving the big problem, 44.6% of middle-school students said they wouldn't tell fortunes, the other 51.1% said they would not necessarily tell fortunes, only 4.3% definitely said to tell fortunes ; 34.8% of middle-school students are willing to have number "8" in their phone numbers; 22.8% thought fengshui make sense before constructing a room .(2)62.0% of parents and 69% of teachers and the students hold the manner regarding the superstition which shows neither approval nor disapproval.(3)In the psychological control source the difference of grade is quite significant, senior school students are more outside controls compared to junior students, the sex difference is not significant, the interactive effect of sex and grade is not significant.(4)Taking sex, grade, the psychological control source as the independent variable, using multiple variance analysis to analysis the psychology of superstition of the middle-school students . The result indicated that, the main effect of sex is significant, the main effect of grade is not significant and the main effect of psychological control source is significant. The interactive effect of sex, grade and the psychological control source is not significant.(5)The total score of the psychology of superstition and the psychological control source has the remarkable positive correlation, students whose psychological control source more outside more believes the superstition.
