The information age is coming in 21st century, in which education is moving toward modernization. More and more schools have adopted multimedia technology, network technology as supporting technologies of teaching. In 2001, the Ministry of Education launched a project of long-range development of vocational education. It supports schools with rich teaching experience to develop e-learning courses so as to realize the sharing of resources. As an important component of the network educational resources, e-learning courses are the key factors affecting the quality of network education. The concept of knowledge can be classified into a narrow sense concept and abroad sense one. The narrow sense knowledge only means the declarative knowledge. While the broad sense knowledge includes three categories, that is, the declarative knowledge, out and internal procedural knowledge. We should know how to put this knowledge into the design of network courses appropriately, so as to achieve the learners self-learning.This thesis attempts to summarize the monographs and papers at home and abroad, which about the knowledge classification theory, objective-driven teaching theory, curriculum theory and the design of net work curriculum theory. After the summary, this thesis will extract the research result from various network programs, analysizing the knowledge classification, goal-oriented teaching and the design of network curriculums in details to find the intrinsic link between the goal-oriented teaching and the design of network courses. In the design of network course, according to the different objectives, we should design different types of organizational structures and propose the corresponding instructional design model with a view to promote the learners learning by themselves.
