The School-Based Senior English Curriculum Development is regarded as a big luminescent spot in new senior school curriculum reform, which has vital significance in carrying out"three levels of curriculum management"and advancing curriculum democracy decision-making. The development of School-Based Senior English Curriculum is advantageous in arousing the enthusiasm of the local government and the school, which well raises and develops student's individuality, enables the school to have its teaching characteristics of teaching initiatively and learning individually and from which we can also benefit much to carry out the scientific concept of development, let everybody become matured. Don't let school be turned into the place for persons who are defeated. The education will conform to the present situation in China, keep pace with the times. In a word, it has the realistic significance and the long-term value for our education.Bruner's structure curriculum theory includes: What to teach? When to teach? How to teach? And according to this theory, the teaching principles can be seen as follows: (1) The basic structure of knowledge should be taught. Bruner argues that knowledge always has its structure. It is one kind of pattern that people treat the objective things as a structure. (2)Pay attention to the early education. Teacher should try to promote the cognitive ability of children in the early period. Bruner's hypothesis states that any discipline can be imparted effectively in an intellectually honest form to any child at the early stage of their development. (3)Advocate"discovery law"in teaching. Student can use all the materials that their teacher provides in the process of discovery learning to discover conclusion or rule individually. (4)Emphasize the importance of"the intuitive thinking"in learning.This study attempts to, according to Bruner's curriculum theory, study the School-Based Senior English Curriculum , prove and design the best pattern for its development. The pattern of English teaching can be regarded as a system or a structure; it can develop School-Based Senior English Curriculum according to the need of school nowadays, make the system of School-Based Senior English perfect, thus the English teaching in middle school can be improved in spiral or step by step, students'English comprehensive capacity can be developed effectively and scientifically. Teaching experiment, literature review, questionnaire and interview are conducted in the process of study for the purpose of probing the model of School-Based Senior English Curriculum Development, which includes need analysis, context factor, curriculum choice and curriculum integration. The study also tries to find out the methods which can make the School-Based Senior English Curriculum Development conform to students'cognitive structures and cognitive rules. Taking the School-Based Senior English Curriculum Development as the theme of study, at present, writer has consulted a lot of books and relevant magazines and found that many experts and scholars have carried on the experimental researches on this topic. However, we have not discovered any book or magazine that is revelant to Bruner's structure curriculum theory systematically.The School-Based Senior English Curriculum takes student's interest and development as the basic starting points. It is interlinked with autonomous learning, inquiry learning and cooperation learning. In a sense, the development and study of School-Based Senior English Curriculum is obviously necessary, what's more, it's completely feasible...
